                                     KARIKALAN AND THE TIME MACHINE

“Sir,” Manikkam said, “There is an original touch in finding out that the whole creation, sustenance and destruction, are a matter of sports Ishwar indulge in. And when our forefathers came up with such a theory and reason for creation, God appreciated them and revealed himself more and more. That is why the Four Vedas are called Apaurshya or not made by Man. The Vedas were heard by our great sages of the Vedic period. Great facets of Truth were given to them out of God’s compassion and appreciation of the proper search by our forefathers. They found out quite early that what is there in “Andam” is there in “Pindam”. Here Andam means the cosmos or the Universe and Pindam means our body. Because both the Universe and our bodies are made of similar Five Elements, namely, Air, Water, Earth, Fire and the Sky! And the greatest contribution our forefathers gave unto this world is the kind of meditational techniques. While the Western philosophers wasted most of their time and search in trying to understand the Universe, our Sages and Saints sat peacefully in a proper spot and closed their eyes and the four other senses. And then they sent their search inward. They had an intuitive idea that whatever is there in the universe is there in the human body and they searched themselves deeply. They decided if they could understand themselves, they could understand the Universe. The results were various Upanishads.”

“You say Ishwar indulges in sport and that is what is meant by creation, sustenance, and destruction?” asked the Super Star. “I am not game for such a theory, Manikkam. It is far-fetched. What do you take the Lord for, an unemployed youth in whose hands time hangs heavily? Nope, I am not for such a theory!”

“O, I see, sir.” Manikkam thought for a while and all of a sudden asked the Super Star, “Have you thought of the Lord as the greatest Creative Writer, sir? For if you are a serious thinker, it should, this theory about the Lord being a Super Creative Writer must have an appeal!”
