                                         KARIKALAN AND THE TIME MACHINE

Manikkam started to speak. In his speech were contained many important things; roughly four thousand years ago the Sages of Rig Veda walked this earth like a colossus. There was nothing that they did not know. Manikkam spoke about them reverently. He also had time to salute other saints belonging to other countries. He said in Egypt and Greek great civilizations flourished, and while the Greek philosophers spoke about truth in a different way, the Egyptian Saints had the great sense in worshipping Nature as Gods and Goddesses. According to Manikkam they were all great saints who had formed an opinion about the scheme of the Universe. Then he came to Swami Vivekananda; his parents named him Narendren. Even as an young youth he exhibited remarkable interest and craving, in and for, God. He spent a good number of years in searching for a master. But every saint he saw could not satisfy him, the young boy, with respect to one single question he put. “Have you seen God personally?” was the question. Young Narendren was not satisfied with their answers. At last, he came to an unlettered man who was worshipping Kali on the outskirt of the then Kolkata. His name was Sri Ramakrishna paranhansa. He, the young man, Narendren put the same question to him, “Have you seen God personally?” Well, the master answered in the positive. “I have seen God in person even as I am speaking to you and seeing you!” This alone made young Narendren visit the godman several times in a week. And one day, Sri Ramakrishna called Narandren asid and with his right foot the great sain touched the chest of young Narendren. All of a sudden, Narendren was transported to spiritual realms, and almost when he was to lose his name and roopa he called out, “Master, Master. I have loving father and mother. I must see them. Please release me from this experience. At this the Master touched him once more and young Narendren returned back to normal, sir” Manikkam continued to speak.

“Basically, sir,” Manikkam continued, “Time Machine is very simple in concept, sir!” Then he started to speak with unbound abandon about the Four Vedas, The Rig, The Yajoor, The Sama and The Athervana. The words fell like rain falling on the parched land.

“Sir” Manikkam smiled, “Our Tamil Poet Subramaniya Bharati says, “When we say our forefathers’ land is our country, a power is born in our breath!” Manikkam continued still, “What I did was, as you will hear, sir..?”

“Mmmmm..?” asked the Super Star, “But he had no enthusiasm. He had not expected this kind of powerpoint presentation about the Four Vedas from Manikkam when he started to dwell on the concept of his Time Machine!
