KARIKALAN AND THE TIME MACHINE--CHAPTER 114

KARIKALAN AND THE TIME MACHINE—CHAPTER 114
Sivanesan’s wife was in the habit of making a hood of her apron and covering her head and part of the face. She was a beautiful Brahmin woman. With an enchanting face and her hair in bride that reached down to her knees, she was every bit a man could expect to see in a woman. When she proferred the tray containing the tumbler of herbal tea, her head cover had slid back and with the result, her full face and head were open to Veeravelar to see for quite a while. He amorous scrutiny had made the lady blush furiously and this had only added to the beauty.
Veeravelar began to hiss between his clenched teeth!
He eyed furiously at Sivanesar and said, “You never mentioned the fact, my friend, that you have such an enchanting wife!”
Though Sivanesar was slightly shocked he laughed and tried to laugh it away. But the four servants who had taken their seats on the white stone floor after having put away the provisions and groceries and the gunny bags of rice could see and tell that Sivanesar had gone red in the face literally and his laughter had come out as a nervous giggle.
“You never mentioned that your wife was such a ravishing beauty?” Veeravelar accused him as though the same had constituted a crime under the regime of the king Karikalar!
“Well, thanks for your compliments, sir!” Once again Sivanesar was all tension and irritation. He thought he ought to have known that this man was an animal. If he had known then he might have made an excuse and pleaded headache or something plaguing his wife and gone himself into the house portion and brought out the herbal tea. But how was he to know?
“She is mine from this minute, you understand?” uttered an angry Veeravelar. “Now I would take her to my mansion and you would be properly cared for in future. You need not worry about anything. Everything you need would be taken care of!”
Sivanesar got up furiously and the four servants sprang up to dissuade him from doing anything harmful to their leader, Veeravelar.
